Local yarn shop In South Goa

Where to shop for yarns in South Goa * Update on this post. This shop is not delivering to anywhere in India. The old man caters only to local buyers. Several russian tourists have asked me on ig on where they can get yarns when they come to Goa. There isn't really much source and choice if I just shop in the local market. I remember a friend telling me that fishes are the only thing that you will get a lot of choices if you come to Goa. That was funny! As for other craft materials and fabrics anyone will definitely find a lot of it, beads, ribbons, flowering making materials ( like for those wedding ensembles). Some shops that are selling buttons, ribbons, sewing threads, are also selling yarns, but they will have a limited supply of it. There's this one shop in Margao, that is specially selling yarns that are produce in India. For acrylic yarns, local people mostly refer or call it "wool", maybe because acrylic is like artificial wool to...

My Chic on a halfshell

thanks to Drew for this pattern. I made one right away...for myself. i'll be bringing this with me to the grand family reunion tonight. i use a red heart yarn super saver. can't remember the color. i got this yarn from one of my yarnswaps at crochetville. the closure is a flap. i crocheted two rounds of the pattern then a few rows of sc's about 1/4 of the side of the 2nd row. then i got a bead to insert it on the center of the 2 rounds. couldn't find any other color around but just pink. the handle is also a bit longer than in the pattern, and i also sewed an organza ribbon in green at the back of it. one of my WIPS that has been sitting for a long time here. i finally gave it to my friend Cathy, whose been waiting for it for a long time. i made up my own pattern here, then put a plastic canvas at the bottom and lined it with a blue fabric inside.

KNITTED SHAWL AND PONCHO I GOT FROM MY TRIP

This is a red shawl that I got at Baguio during my short trip there. It was only for about $2. I thought i really have to buy it because i love the yarn that was used in this shawl because it is so soft besides using it during the cold weather at Baguio. I just wondered where these shops in Baguio got all these gorgeous imported yarns, which i know i wouldn't find at my craftstore. this is a poncho in my fave color, which i coudn't resist too because of the soft yarn being used in the garment. it was only $2. there are really a lot of nice and cheap buys to find in Baguio City. I also bought two caps there in blue and green which are worth only $0.50 TEACHING SAM TO CROCHET Sam and I spend our lunchbreaks crocheting for most of the time now...glad that someone is doing the craft with me. Sam is just a bit ambitious for a beginner. I always tell her to do small projects at first but she likes to do big ones right away. The one she's doing in the photo is a scar...
