Weekend Beach Getaway

We had a quick lunch getaway with a friend last saturday.  Just the day before, suddenly our schedules got so hectic. Saturday morning, I had to visit the doctor's clinic and the friend's car have to fix the tires and they decided to change all tires at once on that morning.  We somehow got late.  We were supposed to still go to Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary where the strawberry farm is located.  But plans change and so we just went directly to Casa Jaali in Canacona, a 1.5 hour drive from Margao.

LUNCH AT CASA JAALI

I like the view of this accommodation and their restaurant because it's facing the sea.  At this side of South Goa, you'll see that the water is still blue. That it is still cleaner than when you are around Mobor to Colva side.  The location of the accomodation itself is waterfront.

Although you can't go to bath directly on the frontside of the accommodation. But, the sight is so refreshing if you're having an early breakfast just when the waters are going low/high tide.  We haven't seen the rooms inside as customers were there, instead we ask the attendants how much and approx. its for Rs5,000/night. Not bad at all for the view and location.

FOOD

We loved the food. Something different and not so Indian.

I had this chicken teriyaki. The rice is topped with cashews and broccoli and edemame are on the side. My husband chose to have some fish steak.

My friend's kids chose fries and croissant, scrumbled eggs with slice bread and my friend had tacos.

Check more on their menu. It can be downloaded on their website casa jaali kitchen

PARKING

They don't really have a parking space.  So if you're bringing a car like we did, you have to park somewhat further along the side of the houses just before you totally go down the rough road.  It was not difficult to find a parking spot, maybe because this place is away from the main Palolem crowd.  There was no crowd at all here at this side. So that felt a bit safer, specially now that covid is still there.

We went around the property when we arrived and took photos, ask around and then sat for lunch.  It was a refreshing saturday for all of us after days of just being inside the house or just doing the weekly routine of work at home and going to the market on weekends.

It's good to be one with nature, it keeps me sane, energize, focus, and humble like the trees and the flowers that we are energies manifested in this form.
