I'm still finding some time to blog and craft since i've started working here in singapore since september.

i've found some very nice craftstores around here and plan to buy some. i really hope to get the time to do crafting.

Hello, it's been a long long time

it's really been a long time since I haven't posted on my blog. For almost 1 year! I can't believe this is what my work has done for me, very little time to craft. I only did a few stitches in my cross stitch and no crochet for almost or over a year...whew!

Last two weeks ago I travelled to Baler,Aurora Province from Olongapo for our SFC-Recon (regional Conference - Central Luzon). We weren't able to go around the place much, but the conference was very refreshing for us SFCs' who attended the regional conference.

We got lost on our way there and took around 12 hours to travel. The trip was full of adventure, we have to stop over for lunch in the forest and have to cross a wooden bridge. All of us have to get down the bus before the bus could get across the bridge:

Hello it's been long since i was out of crafting and blogging also. I have not done much crochet and cross-stitch this year again because of my job which takes a lot of my time and serving the SFC Community.

Around November, my friend Yumi who is now working in Japan sent me these yarns and 2 set of knitting needles. By the way, I'm home in Cebu for the holidays until new year then I'll be back in Olongapo for work again.

These was what I got from Yumi, a box of yarns:

a perfume, and a lot of chocolates also...the yarns are all that's left...:)

and this is me modelling the blouse....hmmm...seems i have gained a little weight again during my two weeks stay here in cebu.

and this one is the crafted cd i made for a debutant:

which i earned P3,000 for the 60 pieces i made. i wasn't able to make a good shot of the front cover since it comes out blurred maybe because of the metallic paper that i used. the front is covered with baby and grown up photos of the debutant with the line that says "Quennie at 18". It is an audio cd, with the debutant's fave songs. The debutant loved the giveaways and so does her mom and her brother.

I am really happy with this first wearable i made:

i followed this pattern from sugar and cream's website - SUMMER TOP, but i used size 8 cannon thread with my top while the design on the website used a yarn.

my mom took several photos of me wearing it but then the camera suddenly got a flat battery and i didn't like any of the photos taken. maybe tomorrow i'll have her take a photo of me again wearing this top.:)

A Crafty day...

i'm still making the cd giveaways. it's good to gain extra money just by making this cds. i remember those days when i make lots by order and sell them, whether it's a birthday or wedding invitation or giveaways. then i just put samples of what i made at my mom's bakeshop...which was a good idea because it makes my mom's shop a one-stop-shop for all those party needs customers want.

i'll be selling these cd giveaways P50 each, then i have 60 pieces to make. It's a blessing i have money now for plane ticket...:) and a little extra to buy small gifts for friends at Olongapo City.

I'll be posting a photo of the cd i'm doing now...later when it's all done.

Then last night, as i went to my stash of yarns i saw these unfinished sleeveless shell blouse i made last year. i sewed the seams...and was a bit afraid it wouldn't fit me even if i have match its size to my blouse. i was so happy when i finished sewing, it fitted me very well too! it somehow took away my doubts that i won't be able to make one and it encourage me to do more crochet. i just need to weave the ends now, but i will post a photo of it tomorrow before i do that.

I went around the mall yesterday to buy some cd recordables because a friend wanted me to make her daughter a few audio cd giveways for her debut. Of course, I never went out of the mall without visiting the craftshop there. I saw two kinds of yarn that they now sell in packs and, there was only one that i was able to identify, which was like the trellis yarn. The other one i wasn't able to identify. Then i was stacks of redheart, which coats and clark distributed here. I think I remember Mimi saying that coats and clark will be using the brand name of redhearts.

I have to be going back there tomorrow to see what i can have...:) although i haven't done much crochet and knitting during the past months. i should be doing some after i do my cross stitch. I also saw new supplies of wooden knitting needles they have there.

here are photos that somehow was a reunion to those of us in the family who haven't seen each other for a long time: especially with my cousin Zarah together now with his husband Fred who came to visit us and the Philippines:

this one is the funniest photo. we're all in a line to see whose the shortest, together with my mom uncles and aunt and Zarah and Fred.whose side is the shortest? ....:)

i have dropped a few pounds due to my illness, but most of my relatives and friends think it's nice to see me this way than being chubby during the past years.:)

after a few months. i'm back home in cebu now only for two weeks. it was very unexpected because i got sick with ulcer and gastritis and no one can take care of me while I was at Olongapo City. I can hardly move because of the pain, that's why my mom immediately wanted me to go home. and it's been a week now, i feel better as i've visit the doctor 4 times already.

it's really nice to be back after a few months away from home and to see my cousin also who got home from US with her husband who we we're all excited to meet. it was also nice to be with my younger cousins who are very restless and noisy. We had some picture taking last wednesday night as my cousin and her husband are leaving again for US after only a 2-week vacation here. It was fun because of my cousins who we're making funny gestures...

i'm going to show those photos when i get them from my cousin. i didn't do much crafting here at home as my stomache doesn't really feel well yet. i just found a small piece of unfinished cross-stitch i did last year and just let the day pass doing it bit by bit....

The Wedding

This is what I’ve been doing for the past months, working on “THE WEDDING” cross – stitch for my aunt. I will be selling this to her when I go home to Cebu maybe by the end of this year. I haven’t done any crochet and knitting at this moment although I still have a lot of those projects to finish. Maybe I will show a photo tomorrow of a cardigan that I’m doing. Right now I just want to concentrate on project at a time because I don’t have a lot of time to craft now …not like before. Since I don’t have a digicam here, I have to maximize my mobile and use it also as a camera. I just sent the photo through my photobucket account as MMS then post it here…Hmmm…why didn’t I thought of this before? J

During weekdays the travel to work requires about 2 hours, back and forth, and that is what makes my day very tiring while our work doesn’t really demand much at the moment. Most of us here (my officemates) don’t know if we’re going to last in this Korean Company, since that there management doesn’t really have a system to follow. We’ve voice out all that we have to tell our bosses about our problems here but they said they can do nothing about it because it’s the management that makes the decision..or maybe they just afraid to tell our problems to those who are in higher position to them. They said they don’t have any power to make the decision for us. It seems that Filipinos here are being discriminated by Koreans when Koreans are the one opening their business here, which Filipinos think that they should learn to get along in our culture, because while we were in Korea we also live like the Koreans, like eating there food and bowing to our bosses as sign of respect.
A lot of my colleagues have already resign from the office and find a better paid job, but I hope and I think some of us here are still hoping that everything will go well for all of us, especially the workers at the yard and that the management would listen to our complaints and demands.

I don't have any pictures to post and it's been a long time since i haven't posted here in my blog. I'm still doing a lot of projects lately but mostly during weekends since work requires more of my time. i'm continuing with "The Wedding" cross stitch for my aunt, which i will bring with me back to Cebu when i get a chance to have a holiday by october. I'm also doing a crocheted cardigan, which i have yet to finish. I can't show any photo of it at the moment since I left the digicam with my sister in Cebu. I hope i will get the chance also to use my phone and download the images on my friends PC at home so i can post it here in my blog.

I have relocated due to my new job and now living in Olongapo, Zambales and alone without my family and old friends....i still need to bring all my craft materials which i have left home in Cebu. I now work here as a ship design engineer at Hanjin Heavy Industries - Philippines, a korean company.

I'm also happy to hear that there are already 2 distributors of LB yarns here in the Philippines. I would really like to visit the shop which is located in Manila. the shop's name is dreams yarnshoppe and they're not just selling yarns but knitting needles and crochet needles and probably other craft materials that came abroad. the other shop is asia embroidery. i have yet to see how much the yarns would be. maybe, if i get some i'll use it for personal stuff. i might not be able to sell them if they're too expensive.

an ipod case:

a celphone pouch: my friend Del is modelling it., he looks funny when he did this pose..:) it has a string to hang on the neck.

another celphone pouch for a korean friend: this one didn't need a drawstring since it fits the celphone tightly.

i did also about 3 coin purses that i gave to my friends. 2 in the same color as the ipod case and one in white, which i don't have a photo of.

i've combine a green funfur yarn with same yarn i use for rose scarf, the white paton's wool blend yarn. i've let Rosela modelled it for me. it has very good fit on her head because it goes down all the way to her ears, which means i have a bigger head...hehe...

Christmas Gifts from Mimi

I received yesterday some Christmas gifts from Mimi(http://www.mycrochetstuff.blogspot.com/) a few balls of lavender yarn, white boucle yarn and another multi-colored yarn and a snowman to hang on the door:

and my room mate, wheng who is trying her basic skills in crochet with the lavender yarn, making a headband.

this one is a cap that i've been knitting for me, which i should finish before christmas day. i'm about half way already with this. i use a patons wool yarn and mixed it together with a green eyelash yarn to give a different look. the wool white yarn looks too boring, my room mates thought it was a creative idea to mixed it with another color.

last night, all my other roommates were trying their hands in crochet. joy, finish a scrunchie, rose and luz are making a headband each. they we're all using the lavender yarn that Mimi sent me.

i think i'm going to shop for some yarn at Busan downtown area if we find some yarnshops there during our city tour this Christmas day and so does my roommate Rose, who was asking me if we can find yarnshops here. i told her we would be shopping for it as i heard from another roommate whose been around the downtown area here and found a few yarnshops.

my roommates went addicted already with their first projects. both rose and joy didn't want to put off their hands from the yarn and hook. we slept at around 12am already just to finish and teach them crochet basics...makes me so tired today in our lecture.

winter scarf

since i didn't have enough white alpaca yarn i mixed it with red, putting it at each end. i finish this last night:

i've let my roommates model it. next to me is Luz, then rowena...as we wore it in different ways. but the real owner of this scarf is a guy, also a co-trainee here.

i still need to fix my legwarmers. it's too big,any idea how i should fix it without repeating it because i don't want too.

we're just about to start our lecture today...but i'm still sleepy. i promise i'll post the photos next week. i'm a bit worried about the white scarf i'm making for my friend...i may have to undo it if the yarn won't be enough with the size i made...huhu... i'm going to receive an advance xmas gift from mimi also! she said it will arrive here before xmas. mmm...what could be inside that package? and what project could i be doing with it.

can't wait 4 it Mi. i'm trying to look around the city here also if i could find some yarn. winter clothes are expensive here including scarves and caps ranging from 9,000 WON up.

i've made red leg warmers for myself, in red alpakka yarn which i got from one of the swaps before at crochetville. i still have yet to show a photo of it here and i have to make another white scarf for a friend, also a co-trainee here in korea in white alpacca scarf and instead of selling it to him i told him he's going to barter packs of chocolates for me and my other girl roommates and maybe a couple of socks for us too for the winter season here....:)

training is getting intensive as we're being evaluated by our bosses here on how well we do with the lecture and software were using and what we have learned so far.

at the side of my blog now are some photos that i took 2 weekends ago when i went out together with my friends at the small city of Masan, South Korea. We passed along a park and we're quite amazed by those red colored leaves of the tree which we can't find in the Philippines.

hello to all my fellow crafters. I'm still here in Cebu and i wasn't able to post anything for more than a month. I still have to prepare myself my luggage and things that i need to bring for my trip to Korea. I also have been crafting even though i haven't posted anything of what i've done. i wonder what's wrong with my mobile phone when i need to transfer a photo of a pouch bag i made for my sister's friend to the PC, and my PC cannot detect it. i'd really love to post that project because i love the color which is in black and pink. it's still on my phone anyway, and i haven't deleted it yet.

anyway, i have done a lot during the month:

here is a capelet that i'm supposed to sent to Yumi,

but now i wonder if i will find the time to mail this to her to Japan, since i still have to find time to prepare myself also. by the way i'm schedule to leave for Korea at the end of the month. this is a knitted capelet in eyelash and mohair yarn, which i got from one of my swaps at crochetville. i've combine two balls of both yarns. i think it is a good idea since 2 balls won't be enough for a capelet. it's still a WIP as of now but almost done.

this one is also a knitted cap i started for Sam, in bernat cotton tots in blue. this is another of her request.

and this one is a crocheted hobo bag for Chai, pattern from moda dea: i've finish both sides of the bag and just need to finish it's handle and sew together both sides.

Sam made this using red, yellow, green and black yarn. She wanted to have a slingbag she can use during sunday activities. So here it is:

this is the back part of the bag.

this is the front side with the flap in red. i help her put two small pockets at the front in yello and green yarn. she still wants to add a zipper to it after also helping her out put a lining inside it.

A day at the shipyard

This may not be craft related. It was one tedious and a satisfying day when i've finish my job on board this ship, named Miguel Rene which is currently on drydocked in one of the shipyards here in Cebu.
Here are photos i'd like to show during my day spent at the shipyard yesterday:

I finished my job in the morning, which was good because the sun's heat wasn't too scorching yet. I almost forgot taking these photos, which was my first time doing it in my work. Good i had on-the-job trainees together with me who shoot these photos using my K600i.

At this moment, I've finished a pair of legwarmers for Yumi in the same color as the cap, scarf and wristlets. Here's a photo of it:

I plan to make her either a bolero, capelet or poncho. I'm thinking which one i could finished in two weeks since she will be leaving by 3rd of september. Mostly probably, I'd be able to finish a capelet in that short time i have left.

I hope this will also fit for Yumi since she has skinnier legs than mine and it seems when i fit the legwarmers, it just fits right on my legs.

i wish i could make more garments for Yumi, but since I don't have much time now i would probably send her more handcrafted garments for her 3 year work contract in Japan.

we all hate kiwi when he goes inside the house because he is very restless and always makes mess. he just brought in a lot of mud on his feet around the house today.

Here's is my first knitted cap that will match the scarf for Yumi.

I showed it to Sam this morning and she modelled it for me. mmm...now she wants to learn how to knit also. she also love the look of the knitted cap and want me to make her one.

I think all these handmade gifts i'm making adds up to the excitement that Yumi feels when she will be going to Japan. right now i'm doing a matching pair of wristlets for the cap and scarf. :)

Also i want to show this scarf and hat set from my SP knicknac. It's being modelled by Sam too.

Crochetville Summer SP

Here is what i got from my first package from my SP at crochetville:

in the package is a scarf and hat set, a set of crochet hooks in D-K, a pack of stitch markers, a violet purse, 4 balls of peaches and cream cotton yarn.

the scarf and hat just came in the right time, hopefully for a trip i'll be having soon.

Wow! i haven't notice that it's been a month long since i haven't posted in my blog. i have mostly done small projects. i've done two sling bags that i sold too, but i haven't got a photo of the fist one. i also sold scrunchies at my friend's clinic. i've done a doily for my summer SP, which i haven't got a photo too.

and i'm still learning the basics of knitting, to show it, here is my first project:

the yarn is in redheart that i got from one of my yarn swaps before. there are a few twisted stitches in the project as it is still my first. it is a keyhole scarf. it is still in progress right now.

Just another cap I created for my friend libeth that Butchoy modeled for me. It was another birthday gift that I gave. It just took me so long to post this project:

Birthday Hat

Here's a hat I made for Chai, a dentist friend serving in the same community I'm in (Singles for Christ). I gave it to her several days before her birthday. the color is in marroon. The color just matches her very well. It is a brimmed hat, althought it may not be very clear here because Chai folded or rolled the end of the hat.

I made up my own pattern with this hat, putting some popcorn stitches in a row then followed with v-stitch, and sc rows. Isn't the owner just as adorable as the hat?!

Upset with my broadband service provider

last week I lost my phone's dial tone and after it was fixed i lost my broadband connection too, with my computer prompting a message that it did not detect a dial tone. i've been calling my service provider for almost a week now and still they haven't fix the problem. I tried connecting it now but it still has the same problem, at the moment I'm using the dial up connection now, just to post and give updates to my projects and Sam's too. I do have a lot to show now

Here are a few of Sam's projects that she did in the office so she won't get bored:

a shawl she did in shells using 2 strands of anchor white with metallics, we got the pattern from one of the crochet magazines i bought we just adjusted the size.

this hat is just really right for summer and it was supposed to be hers until one of her boardmates saw this and bought it. she used cannon variegated in yellow with this hat and we made the edge a little ruffled. i did a basic pattern for this. Sam has made around 3-4 hats, some of which i can not show since she gave it away to friends.

My long weekend crafting

I just want to show what I had been doing last holy week. i've decided to work on these 6 cherubs in cross-stitch for the holy week, which had been seating in my room for a year now, waiting to be done. I've been really fascinated with crochet for a year that is why i've ignored cross-stitch for a while now.

My Weekend Get-away

We planned this a weekend ahead with my father, sister, cousins and aunts. The place is called Moalboal famous for it's white sand beaches too. A lot of local and foreign tourists come and stay here to enjoy nature. Some already live here. It is also one of the best diving spots in Cebu, about 2 hours from where I live, located southwest of Cebu Province. It was a great way to start my summer and get away from the hassle of the city and the pressure from the workplace. Besides, i want to see a different view aside from the buildings and just going around the malls every week.

We didn't mind being scorched by the summer heat...we all just want to enjoy.here are some photos that I'd like to show you all:

I sold the blue bag...

to my friend last thursday night. The rest of my friends love it and one said that she'd want me to make another bag for her.

Here are the photos of the finished bag and the lining:

I like the fabric lining i chose with it, which has blue flowers too and didn't make it plain and boring to look at, and i think i did sew the lining very well as i was very satisfied with it compared to the past bags I did. shown here also is a pocket inside the bag/

This is the bag that I'm working on right now. Hopefully will be done on wednesday. This will be my friend's graduation gift to her cousin:

this is now one side of the gusset attached to the body.

I've crocheted two strands of yarn in light and navy blue for the gusset. I'll be using navy blue for the handles.

My Package Arrived

I got my pacakge today that I got from my friend Jeremy. He's a friend living in Indiana, U.S. One of the presents that I ask from him was the 2006 crochet-a-day-pattern calendar. Together with it also is a victoria's secret pearl glace body spray and 8 gamecube games. Jeremy's been spoiling me,my sister and cousins with a lot of video games and other presents since we've known each other. Here's a photo of the presents that i received yesterday:

My current project is a shoulder bag, which will be my friend's graduation gift to her cousin. It is in sky blue and navy blue. I have do to it fast and I've got one more week to go before I give it to friend. Hope i'll finish this in time.

Presents for Rai

This is a shell wrist pouch I've done for my friend Rai. She wanted it in yellow, which is her favorite color. I did this in size 10 thread, crocheted in two strands. I gave this to her during her birthday last 9 March. It was quite long ago when she ask this from me, but i was never able to finish it no matter how small because of a lot of other WIPs. But it was still so timely that i was able to make it to her birthday. Also, here is a blue scrunchie i made in acrylic thread that goes with the wrist pouch. Oh, I've been doing a lot of scrunchies lately to give and sell again. Together with the crocheted items are little notecards that me and my friends put each of our dedication for Rai. Then I put all the little cards and the scrunchie in the wrist pouch. I think i made a quick gift for her.

KNITTED SHAWL AND PONCHO I GOT FROM MY TRIP

This is a red shawl that I got at Baguio during my short trip there. It was only for about $2. I thought i really have to buy it because i love the yarn that was used in this shawl because it is so soft besides using it during the cold weather at Baguio. I just wondered where these shops in Baguio got all these gorgeous imported yarns, which i know i wouldn't find at my craftstore.

this is a poncho in my fave color, which i coudn't resist too because of the soft yarn being used in the garment. it was only $2. there are really a lot of nice and cheap buys to find in Baguio City. I also bought two caps there in blue and green which are worth only $0.50

TEACHING SAM TO CROCHET
Sam and I spend our lunchbreaks crocheting for most of the time now...glad that someone is doing the craft with me. Sam is just a bit ambitious for a beginner. I always tell her to do small projects at first but she likes to do big ones right away. The one she's doing in the photo is a scarf that she's sending to a friend who left for China for a business trip. Then she saw me do some scrunchies and she did also, but even before she can finish one she already felt that scrunchies are boring. According to her it's boring because she just keeps on going around the elastic. Comparing it to a scarf which is lengthy. Well at first i didn't really want her to do that srunchie because she also wants to put those little flowers called spangles and it is being used with a size 10 thread or the acrylic thread that i used also which maybe of the same size as the size 10. I know that thread shouldn't be recommended for beginners, but well most of the time she wants to have her way. I don't know if she still wants to make a single scrunchie after she feels that it's boring and after buying a pack of 30+ goody ouchless.

this was a bag i made for my mom, which also seated for a long time in my room. now it's done with a handle and drawstring.

Singles Revolution

From Vigan we then took a bus which took us to Baguio. Around 5 am when we reached Baguio, just outside the Burnham Park two of my friends were faking their cries because of the very cold climate, which we are not use to. Later when the sun was out we all went to the place were we will be staying for the next 3 days, which was already contacted by one of my friends. We had a nap then later in the afternoon we toured around the city of Baguio. Then later during the night of feb. 10 the conference was opened. It so nice to stay in Baguio because we didn't sweat at all! that's one thing i like. One of my guy friends said he's going to get crazy with the cold water every morning he takes a bath!!!

My Trip to Vigan City

I had a day tour at the City of Vigan together with my friends from Cebu, and my mother also came along with us. It was an 8 hour drive from the city of Manila. We were toured around the city on a horse - driven - wagon (kalesa), which charge us around P150(pesos/hr) that is about $3 an hour.

Vigan has a very reach spanish history and what I love about the city is that they have preserved the old spanish houses/settlements, unlike Cebu. I love this City because of the windy climate it has.

Most of the restaurants there are renting the old houses along the streets of Vigan. They have preserved and restored the houses by paint and it all looks new at the outside, but when we went inside at one of the restaurants there i am amazed at the old structures that the people there have preserved!

Well, we all had a very nice time at Vigan. i spent all my money, but it was well worth it to see the northern side of my country, which I think I still have a lot to discover of beautiful places around. We did all feel like we went in some other country too each time we thought we've reach this far and each time we all thought that there is still so much to see around.

reunion photos

just want to show some photos of the 50th wedding anniversary of grandparents. i did lost my reunion photos as it was accidentally deleted by my friend. this wedding was one week after our family reunion so everyone was still here in cebu to celebrate.

this one is with my sister and Tor, another cousin who is norweigian filipino and lives in norway. He often comes here with her mom once every two years, but he speaks a little english only.most of the time he speaks norweigian with her mom.

thanks to Drew for this pattern. I made one right away...for myself. i'll be bringing this with me to the grand family reunion tonight. i use a red heart yarn super saver. can't remember the color. i got this yarn from one of my yarnswaps at crochetville. the closure is a flap. i crocheted two rounds of the pattern then a few rows of sc's about 1/4 of the side of the 2nd row. then i got a bead to insert it on the center of the 2 rounds. couldn't find any other color around but just pink. the handle is also a bit longer than in the pattern, and i also sewed an organza ribbon in green at the back of it.

one of my WIPS that has been sitting for a long time here. i finally gave it to my friend Cathy, whose been waiting for it for a long time. i made up my own pattern here, then put a plastic canvas at the bottom and lined it with a blue fabric inside.

Getting Ready for Baguio!!!

I'm finally getting ready for Baguio. It's about 6 hours drive from the city of Manila. I'll be leaving by the 8 of February with a few friends. And around the months of January to February it's still cold in Baguio. I've finally made my own cap for me to bring to Baguio City! It's going to be fun and exciting!!! My cap is in lavender and purple.

I still use the same pattern for this cap from mimicat's patterns. Everyone love this cap because it fits in the head very well. Several of my friends want to have one each requesting there own color choices. I told them that they had to learn crochet so they don't have to keep on waiting for me to make any item for them, the next time they see something that i've crocheted. So, do i look good in it?? Am I ready to go to Baguio? thought i should have done this in blue so it will match Dennymare's knitted scarf that she sent me in the swap.

and so here is Sam again, posing in the office for that cap i crocheted for her. she seems to have endless "crochet requests" for me.

Yumi's New Year's gift and Butchoy's Birthday gift

i used the same pattern for these hats and also with the previous one i made for Bambie. Yumi's hat is somewhat in halloween colors: and here is a closer look of Yumi's hat. there's about an inch fold at the end of this cap. i mixed a furry yarn at the last row of it, which i got from one of my swaps.

this one is done all in black, which was Butchoy's request so he can use it during break dancing. also that it won't get easily dirty. and this one doesn't have a fold at the end.

A crochet Session

of me, Yumi and Bambie crocheting. Both of my friends wanted to learn the basics of crochet, that how we had this short crochet session. As you see, Yumi has her eyes on the book - hooked on crochet, which i let her used that night. Bambie just created her own design with my guide still. Then my cousin, Malou gave a new meaning to SFC (singles for crochet), which was one of her jokes.

Also on the same night i gave Bambie this hat, which was Mimi's newest free pattern. this hat is in fushia pink and black. I used a steel crochet hook size 1, which made the hat smaller and just the exact fit on her head. It was my christmas gift for her. She loves to model around:

Gift Wrapping

I did a lot of it yesterday afternoon for my little nephews and nieces and cousins: i made the wrappers into different sizes of bags. these chocolates were prepared for my sister to give away for her friends.

then i've placed them under the fern tree which my mother has transform into a christmas tree because i never found the real christmas tree hidden in the boxes at our storage room.:) i haven't close the bags yet because i want to add a little bit more in each of them.

Here are more scrunchies that i've done this weekend.

my friend bought this one right away when she saw it. it seems that most of them just love this color so much. especially with the special flower sequins that i used with it which is also in lavender. it really looks so sparkling.

this one is also in lavender but without the flower sequins.

i've done another one in peach but haven't taken a photo of it yet, without flower sequins and i'm making another one with sequins in it.

i haven't notice that it's already the end of November and holidays are coming! i coudln't believe that my last post was around 2nd week of november. it has been really a busy month for me.

anyway i want to show photos from my new digicam. i've also put aside the ring bearer's pillow for my friend as she isn't sure yet of the wedding day which might not happen yet this december. i only have the other side to finish now and the edgings.

Here are 4 more scrunchies that i've made last weekend:

the blue with flower sequins is made with acrylic thread. counter clockwise, i just combined the acryclic blue thread with glittery white thread on the top row of it. next one, i just use one color of yarn, which is yellow. and next i use pink luster sheen then combined with it again the glittery white thread at the top row.

i'm still making more this weekend...maybe if i won't be too busy.

Sorry to my autumn SP for taking so long to post this photos. I want to thank Dennymare for the wonderful packages she has sent me and for granting me my wishes too! here are photos of what she has sent me:

here's a little pouch bag that she knitted, crochet hooks in different sizes, a flower power booklet from lily yarns, a blue/green crocheted scrunchie, and a rose shaped scented soap

and this one was the first time i ever saw this really big ball of yarn- jo-ann's boucle sensation yarn, a ball of bernat boa, a ball of cotton sugar and cream yarn in hot pink.

a blue scarf that Mary also knitted for me, which i'm keeping in my closet at the moment. if i can go to Baguio City early next year then i ought to bring this.

i did this ring beare's pillow during the weekend. it's for my friend Yumi getting married next month. i've just done the first side yet, hopefully i'll do the other side this coming weekend.

I haven't posted photos yet of my SP's reveal package and the scrunchies that i've made since i've been so busy during the weekend. i have made 3 more scrunchies until now. i hope i can get a digicam so i don't have to worry that i can't take photos during night. :( mostly especially with my upcoming weekend activities with SFC(Singles for Christ)...i know i'll be taking lots of photos.

i'm making more scrunchies in different colors, some with beads. i think i'll also make some in fun fur to show off and sell or give away.

i'll show tomorrow the scrunchies that i have done. my friends love what i do and one of the scrunchies i did i have already sold, which was in lavender acryic thread. i'm making several more of the same color since a lot of my friends prefer that one.

this is another purse for my officemate again, which has been seating around here for awhile now. i've finally finished it: it's made of anchor lifestyles crochet cotton thread in size 8. i used 2 strands of thread and a size 1 steel hook.

i'm feeling a little lazy now to put on a lining in this purse as i've now seen the finish project and just very contented with how it looks.

Here's a pouch bag that I made yesterday for a friend whose celebrating her birthday this coming saturday: I still need a cord as a lock and i used one of the yarns i got from my yarn swap. It is in variegated colors of peach, blue, yellow and a little shade of lavender. There's an old cd at the bottom of it to stiffen the bag. I crocheted another piece like the bottom, inserted the cd between the two pieces then sewed it together.

or maybe i should call it purse because it's much smaller and it's for my officemate Samantha. it's also going to have a lining and zipper. i hate working with linings, but well its what makes the whole project beautiful. it's made of thread size 8 and i crocheted it in two strands in pastel colors of pink and aqua with white...an anchor variegated thread. i'll post a photo of it on the weekend hopefully.

this is for my friend Cathy. this bag is done in sky blue and grey, 2 strands of yarn are held together and this is the effect:

i'm almost done with it as i'm doing the handle part of it. then i'll be putting a lining, maybe a printed one, then a zipper. i'm also putting a plastic canvas on its base to stiffen it. i hope it will come out good and hope my friend likes it.

this is another request from my office mate, Sam, who's going to give this as a gift to her friend. I sold it to her for P25. i made up my own pattern in this pouch with side gussets, using 2 strands of size 8 thread. i really like what i did with the edging/joining on the body and the gussets, they're like little bobble stitches. then i added eyelash yarn to trim on the opening.

this pouch will perfectly fit a Nokia 3310 or 3315 unit.
